Why do we use job boards?

• They can filter specific needs such as job title, salary and location

• They are updated on a regular basis

• Our CV's are searched daily by recruiters and employers

• Registering with SOME job boards means we are more likely to be contacted

• Make sure your CV is updated

• Use key info in personal profile such as "I am looking for an electrical/ plumbing role and want to progress to an apprenticeship when I have completed the year..."

• Grab their attention with your persistence

When it's a no.

• Move on, come back to them?

• You'll probably get more no's than a yes

• Just keep checking online and ask friends and family
