comparatives  are special forms of adjectives. They are used to compare two or more people, things, animals, places, etc. 

COMPARATIVES

Every day, people compare things, places, and people. They compare things and objects using specific words such as THAN, MORE or LESS. This comparison is called “COMPARATIVE”

TYPES OF ADJECTIVES

Before making a comparative, we must take into consideration, the type of adjective we are going to use.

TYPES OF ADJECTIVES

• 1 (one)-syllable

• 2 two-syllableS ( words that end with : y )

• long adjectives: beautiful, expensive, etc

• irregular adjectives

1 (one syllable)

2 (two syllables with words that end in y)

We change the ending y with : ier Example:

We add more(+) or less (-) to adjectives that has 3 or more syllables. Example:
