THE GRANDMOTHER

She was a very old lady.She was short, fat and slightly bent.Her face was covered with wrinkles.she always wore white sari.Her silvery hair scattered on her face.She always whispered inaudible prayers on her rosary.

GRANDMOTHER & GRANDCHILD

Khushwantsingh spent his childhood with his grandmother as his parents were away in city.Grandmother got him ready for school and fed him.They went to school together.On their way back home , they fed the stray dogs with stale chapathis.

THE MOVE TO THE CITY

Later his parents took both of them to the city ,which marked a turning point in their relationship.Though they shared the same room ,there was nothing to connect them.The grandson moved to a new world and the grandmother remained in her world.She was finding it difficult to understand and cope with the many things her grandson is doing, like her grandson taking music lessons .

THE CHANGE

The grandson and the grandmother got separated emotionally.The grandmother was unable to understand many of the things done by grandson.So she started to live her own secluded life.

DEATH

Grandmother died in a peaceful way.He chose her time of her death.She willingly accepted her death.
