Remember, a DEFINITE article means a definite, specific item... THE boy, THE house, THE kids, etc. And INDEFINITE article is referring to something that's NOT defnite/NOT specific... a boy, a house, some kids.

Now let's review using ADJECTIVES in Spanish.
Remember, adjectives have to "match" the noun they're describing in:
NUMBER: singular or plural
GENDER: masculine or feminine
And if the adjective doesn't end in an o or a, we don't force it to, but it still become plural if needed:
Natalie es ambiciosa. Paco es ambicioso.
Paco y Natalie son ambiciosos.
Natalie y Carla son ambiciosas.
Gloria es independiente. Steve es independiente.
