Tenses of verbs tell when and how complete an action is
present tense - is now
imperfect tense - recent past or repeated action in the past - incomplete action
future tense- action hasn't happened yet
perfect tense- completed action - therefore past
pluperfect tense- completed action further in the past
future perfect tense - an action that will be completed in the future
