Mandatos Irregulares- Irregular Commands
Be strong.
2
Review of commands
So far we have learned about affirmative and negative commands.
Let's review what we know.
3
Affirmative commands
tú commands use 3rd person conjugation- (e.g. corre, habla, come)
vosotros commands drop the "r" and add a "d"- (e.g. corred, hablad, comed)
usted, ustedes and nosotros commands keep regular present tense form but flip the ending.
usted- (e.g. corra, hable, coma)
ustedes- (e.g. corran, hablen, coman)
nosotros- (e.g. corramos, hablemos, comamos)
All RID pronouns MUST ATTACH to the affirmative commands. Remember, AAA- Always Attach to Affirmative
4
Negative commands
All negative commands keep regular present tense form but flip the ending.
All RID pronouns must go before conjugated verb or can also go attached to progressive participle or attached to infinitive
N.A.N. - Never attach to the negative
-tú (no corras, no hables)
-usted- (e.g. no corra, no hable)
-nosotros- (e.g. no corramos, no hablemos)
-vosotros- (e.g. no corráis, no habléis
-ustedes- (e.g. no corran, no hablen)
5
Irregular commands
The good news is that the irregular verbs will MOSTLY follow the same general rules as the affirmative and negative commands.
The main differences are in the following:
the informal tú affirmative commands are completely different
the stems for when you have to flip are different

Most forms just add a "g". Hacer drops the "z" frist then adds "g". IR is just different. Ser drops the accent.
28
Now that you know the stems, you'll simply follow the same pattern as for regular affirmative commands.
Remember- for usted, ustedes and nosotros commands, use the same present tense form and simply FLIP THE ENDING.
usted- venga, tenga, ponga, haga, etc.
ustedes- vengan, tengan, pongan, hagan, etc.
nosotros- vengamos, tengamos, pongamos, hagamos, etc.
29
FYI- vosotros commands are not irregular for the Vin Diesel verbs and they will follow same rules as all other affirmative vosotros commands. Drop the "r" add a "d".
