TYPE 2
Untrue in the present time yaitu mengungkapkan suatu khayalan atau angan-angan belaka yang berlawanan dengan kenyataan yang sebenarnya.
RUMUS : IF + S + were + O, S + would + V 1 + O
Verb could/might
Examples:
a. If I were rich, I would buy a new car.
b. If you were a pilot, you could go around the world.
c. If Tina had a lot of money, she would open a restaurant.

TYPE 1
True in the present time yaitu mengungkapkan suatu rencana, nasehat, atau suatu kemungkinan yang akan terjadi.
RUMUS : IF + S + is,am,are + O, S + will + V 1 + O
Verb can/may
Examples:
a. If I am rich, I will buy a new car.
b. If you are a pilot, you can go around the world.
c. If Tina has a lot of money, she will open a restaurant.

Untrue in the past time yaitu mengungkapkan suatu penyesalan tentang suatu persoalan yang terlanjur terjadi pada masa lalu.
RUMUS : IF + S + had been + O, S + would have + V 3 + O
Examples:
a. If I had been rich, I would have bought a new car.
b. If you had been a pilot, you could have gone around the world.
c. If Tina had had a lot of money, she would have opened a restaurant.
