Explain the significance of the quote or paraphrase to your reader. Why is this quote or piece of information important in your paper or project?
Cite your quote or paraphrase properly according to the rules of style you are following in your essay.
9
Quote Example
According to Encyclopedia Brittanica, Hitler's rise to power was almost inevitable because of the "susceptibility of postwar Germany to his unique talents as a national leader." This proves that Hitler had all of the qualities needed to be a good leader had he not used his power to negatively affect others (Bullock et al.).
10
Paraphrase Example
Despite what many believe, Hitler did not just gain power and start taking over other countries. In fact, his plan was more nefarious. From 1934 to 1936, Hitler initiated several pacts and treaties with Poland, Austria, France, the U.S.S.R., Italy, and Japan. He would later use these positive relationships with world leaders as a way to begin his invasion plan and gain more power by manipulating the world leaders he created alliances with (Bullock et al.).
