In your journal, write a short scene (aim for about 5-10 minutes of writing) that addresses the following:
Character: Who finds the object? Give them a name and a small, specific detail (Voice) about their reaction (e.g., Do they kick it? Do they crouch down and study it?).
Setting: Where and when do they find it? Use at least three sensory details (smell, sound, or touch) to describe the immediate surroundings.
Plot/Conflict: What is the immediate question the object creates? What is your character's small action in response? (This is your story's beginning.)
Theme (Optional): What small idea or feeling about loss, mystery, or curiosity does the object make your character feel?
Remember: Focus on Showing, Not Telling! Don't write, "She was curious." Write, "She tilted her head, tapping a finger against her chin as she examined the strange, one-eyed figure."
