Singular vs. Plural Subjects
A subject is who or what the sentence is about.
👉 Singular subject = ONE
Examples: boy, girl, dog, teacher
👉 Plural subject = MORE THAN ONE
Examples: boys, girls, dogs, teachers

Rule for Singular Subjects
When the subject is singular, you add -s or -es to the verb.
Examples:
The dog barks.
The girl watches.
My teacher helps.

When the subject is plural, you do NOT add -s or -es.
Examples:
The dogs bark.
