What is a goal kick

• free kick taken from the corner of the field when a defending opponent plays the ball out of bounds on the End Line

• any unfair act by a player, deemed by the referee to contravene the game’s laws, that interferes with the active play of the game

• free kick taken from the Goal Box when an attacking player last touches the ball out of bounds on the End Line

• throwing the ball in from the sideline above the athletes head, after the ball has been played out of bounds on the sideline by an opposing player
