What is the function of the mitochondria?

• Used to separate chromosomes to either part of the cell and is used in cell division

• The Mitochondria controls what enters and exits a cell.

• Mitochondria is responsible for aerobic respiration (energy production) and uses glucose to create Adenosine Triphosphate which is used to create energy. 

What are the role of ribosomes?

• Contains all the DNA

• Link Amino acids together for protein synthesis

• Package and send proteins to the cell membrane via vesicles

• Transport lipids around the cell

What is the role of the rough endoplasmic reticulum?

• Transports and stores Ribosomes that form the rough surface. These are used in the creation of substances within the cell.

• Has no ribosomes and is responsible for the metabolism and transport of lipids used in the cell.

• Responsible for packing and sending proteins around the cell.
