Embracing the AI Era in Education: A Hong Kong Teacher’s Experience with Wayground

Hello everyone, I’m Mr. Tsui Chun Hoi from Bethel High School in Hong Kong. I’m truly grateful to be one of Wayground’s first Super Trainers in Hong Kong.

After exploring the full capabilities of Wayground through the premium version, I became even more convinced that it is not only an AI-powered platform that is practical, user-friendly, and highly adaptable for classroom teaching, but also one that genuinely puts teachers and students at the centre of learning.

As a language teacher, I have tried many educational platforms over the years. However, it is rare to find one that is both easy to use and flexible enough to support the everyday needs of language teaching. When Quizizz evolved into Wayground, the transformation was honestly impressive. With the integration of AI tools and multiple learning features, it has become much easier for me to create teaching materials and bring more teaching ideas into actual classroom practice.

I often describe Wayground as an “intelligent kitchen.” Teachers simply prepare the ingredients, and the platform helps generate different kinds of learning activities through AI support and customisation. What excites me most is that similar learning content can be presented in different ways, allowing students to revisit concepts repeatedly without feeling bored or repetitive.

Another reason I appreciate Wayground is that it never replaces the role of the teacher. Instead of creating a purely virtual learning environment where students learn independently without interaction, Wayground helps bring students back into meaningful teacher-guided learning experiences. It supports teachers in building a more connected, engaging, and human-centred digital classroom.

What is especially valuable for educators in Hong Kong is that Wayground also supports curriculum alignment from Primary 1 through Secondary 6. Teachers can generate questions based on subjects, topics, and curriculum needs, making lesson preparation much more efficient and practical for local classrooms.

Because of this, I am always happy to share Wayground with fellow educators. I hope more teachers can embrace the opportunities of the AI era together and explore new possibilities for teaching and learning.
