Uses of have and has​

Present perfect describes an ongoing situation that has occurred in the past and in the present.

​Example -1. I have loved running my whole life.( In this sentence, talking about whole life i.e past as well as present)

2. We have worked at the coffee shop for five years​. ( In this sentence they are talking about 5 years, that is past and till present)

3. My neighbor has lived next door since last July​. ( In this sentence also they talking about past as well as present)

For - used with specific numbers 5 years, 3 years

Since -doesn't use with specific number last ​year, last month, I was born.
