Question:

In the 1980s, Cantopop was extremely popular. Cantopop stars such as Anita Mui and Lesley Cheung were world-famous. Nowadays, young people in Hong Kong prefer to listen to music from overseas such as K-pop.

Introduction

Sample introduction:

Forty years ago, Hong Kong was world-famous for its music. Many famous stars such as Anita Mui and Leslie Cheung sang to sold-out stadiums. The young people of Hong Kong listened to Cantopop music a lot. However, nowadays, not many young people in Hong Kong listen to Cantopop, but instead prefer foreign music such as K-pop. There are a number of reasons for this, but chief among them is that K-pop has more bands, better dance routines, and it is more creative.

Reorder

Reorder the following introductions to essays.

Forty years ago, many Hong Kongers wanted to be singers.

At that time, Hong Kong had a thriving arts scene and you could become rich by being a singer just like stars like Anita Mui.

However, nowadays, not many young people in Hong Kong want to be a singer and instead prefer other careers such as being a Youtuber or an influencer.

There are a number of reasons for this, but chief among them are that singing is not a stable job, Hong Kong does not have enough music venues, and young Hong Kongers most focus on their studies.

Reorder

Each body paragraph should take one idea from the introduction. It should then develop it. Put the parts of the body paragraph in the right order. This paragraph is about 'K-pop having more bands'.

Firstly, one problem with Cantopop is that there are nowhere near as many bands as there are with K-pop.

This is because K-pop bands have support from rich companies who launch their careers, but in Hong Kong, there is very little money available to become famous.

For example, BlackPink was made by YG Entertainment and YG Entertainment are very rich, so it could pay for BlackPink concerts.

Furthermore, K-pop has more genres and therefore whatever your music taste is, you can find some music you like in K-pop.

As a result, young people in Hong Kong like K-pop more than Cantopop because they can find something they like.

Writing a conclusion

A conclusion should wrap up what you just said.

An example:
In conclusion, it seems very clear that there are a number of reasons why students listen to K-pop instead of Cantopop. Firstly, with the choice of so many bands such as BlackPink and Big Bang, Cantopop cannot compete. Also, K-pop produces better and more professional dance routines which are much more appealing to the young of Hong Kong. Finally, it seems clear that K-pop is much more creative than Cantopop. If these facts remain true, than K-pop will continue to be the music of choice for young people in Hong Kong.

21

Conclusion

In your conclusion repeat your reasons.

Finally, end with a statement about the future of the situation and how it will continue in the future.
