the stroke volume will decrease as your hearts ability to pump more oxygenated blood per beat will increase.

Pumps blood around the body (blood carries oxygen to the muscles) Removes waste products from the body (carbon dioxide).

Why does the heart rate increase? (There is more then ONE correct answer)

Exercise places an increased demand on the cardiovascular system - altering the heart rate.

To perform as efficiently as possible the cardiovascular system must regulate these changes and meet the bodies increasing demands

Oxygen demand by the muscles increases sharply.

Heart rate increases to make you perform better

Blood is also responsible for the removal of waste products, like carbon dioxide. If the heart pumps more blood, waste products are removed quicker.

Why does your face go red during/after exercise?

The face has many small capillaries close to the skin, it turns more red than other areas of the body.

To regulate the bodies temperature after exercise, blood flow is diverted away from the core to the skin where the excess heat can escape.

When you exercise, many changes happen in your body. You will breathe faster to maximize the amount of oxygen in your blood. Your heart will beat faster, which increases blood flow to your muscles.

Blood rises to the surface of our skin and this is because so it can be cooled down by sweat
