This testing for extraneous is a migraine thanks to the fraction you should get as one of your solutions. Test the non-fraction to see why it IS extraneous and trust your fraction would work if you were to tediously test it! You will not have to test a problem like number 2 on the test....the two solutions you get WILL work. :)
