T6 LINE AND STAFF

Ø  Describes the procedures and defines the duties of officer assigned to special post or position.

Ø  An instruction given by ranking officer to a subordinate, either general, special or personal order.

Ø  Usually, a written communication unless otherwise specifies to be verbal reports. Verbal reports should be confirmed by written communication.

Ø  The systematic arrangement of the relationship of the members, positions, departments, and function or work of the organization.

Ø  It is comprised of functions, relationships, responsibilities, and authorities of individuals within the organization

Ø  It is the oldest and simplest kind of organizational structure and also called military.

Ø  Defined by its clear chain of command from the highest to lowest.

Ø  Orders or commands comes from the higher level of authority before it can be carried out
